Elizabeth Taylor Sandwiches

This sandwich is a contradiction of everything this blog is supposed to be about. However, there are some things that need to be shared with the world. The Elizabeth Taylor sandwich. Don't knock it till you've tried it. Calories? Unknown and not worth bothering to count. Add some chips to the side of the plate, add some pickles to the side. Have a large beer and just enjoy it! I haven't met anyone who doesn't like it, the hard part is convincing people that the ingredients DO actually work well together. Honourable mention to Tony who is the originator of this sandwich and who has made this sandwich for my family for many years now. We have never modified it, we don't ask him to make it "low calorie", we just enjoy them! Please do try it and leave some feedback as I do believe its the best sandwich you can make! In fact, I could argue that White Spot recently stole this sandwich idea with the creation of their peanut butter, bacon, jalapeno burger. Its a form of flattery really.

On one slice of marble rye:
  • butter
  • peanut butter
  • chopped green onion
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 4 slices well done bacon
  • lettuce
  • cheddar cheese
  • tomato slices
  • pepper
On second slice of marble rye:
  • butter
  • mayonnaise
Toast or untoasted.

Call Jenny Craig the next day.

Just found your blog and made the oopsie bread you posted. It's not bad. As for this sandwich, as soon as I saw avocado turned me right off. Will just have to make it without the avocado. LOL
