Tequila Jello Lime Shooters

I am here for a good time, not a long time

Its not too late to turn your Easter Sunday into a party in a lime wedge. I am hosting Easter Sunday this year and Brett took over the kitchen duties making a beef wellington, so I was left with cleaning and that just didn't do it for me. I did end up making a Jicima Watermelon salad and a cucumber mango salsa. Both will be posted later. But I couldn't resist! I had seen these on Pinterest so many times, I had to try! What a success!

Here we go:

  • 10-12 limes
  • 2 packages of lime jello mix
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1 cup tequila
  • scoop of ice

Cut the limes diagonal. If you have a grapefruit slicer this would be ideal. Scoop out the inside of the lime and don't worry I saved the lime innards for a dressing to make this week.

Boil the water, add in the 2 cups of hot water, stir. Add in the 1 cup of tequila. Stir. Add in some ice, Stir.

Pour into limes.

Chill for 2 hours (ok, I only waited 1 hour).

Cut in half.

EAT/DRINK/ENJOY!

This would be great for a girls night party or you could change up the color to red for a Christmas party. Love it!
