5 Minute Mushroom Pasta Sauce

After making the classy chicken Brett got really excited that I allowed cream of mushroom soup back into the house. He loves pasta, but doesn't love tomato based sauces. So we quickly threw together a cream of mushroom based sauce with prawns and although it wasn't intended to be a full blown post, it was so easy and quick and simple, here we go!

5 minutes is the key! Nobody has the time to spend hours in the kitchen. This was a quick and simple pasta sauce that we both enjoyed I served mine over kelp noodles and he used regular pasta.


600 calories 
3-4 servings

  • 1 bag of frozen prawns
  • 1 can low fat cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 package sliced crimini mushrooms
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 2 tbls tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup skim milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Pan fry the mushrooms on a high heat to get them nice and brown!

Add the rest of ingredients to a separate dish and bring to a boil.

Add in mushrooms and cook your noodles while waiting (see my kelp noodles being heated on the left!)

Husband Friendly Version:

Serve with giant glass of red wine!
