Enough already with the sushi? I don't think so. I dream of endless combinations of sushi. Of course its rice free (using daikon and cabbage instead) and I also tried to do a "starter sushi roll". For those that are not ready for the raw fish or don't like wasabi, throw in some roasted pineapple and mushrooms and perhaps you can start to convert members of your family to crave sushi like I do!
You can really use anything you want. For this roll I used:
- Nori seaweed sheets
- Shredded daikon & green cabbage
- 1 - 8 oz package of crimini mushrooms (fried)
- 8 slices of pineapple
- 1 can of crab meat
- Sweet chili sauce - a small amount on each sheet to help them stick together
For less than 100 calories a roll, that's around 12 calories per piece......seriously. I made 4 of the bad boys and consumed the whole giant plate in one sitting. Try it!!!!!
