Broccoli Chicken Burgers 

Yes, I'm still blogging! Well whenever I can fit in between my work life and personal life :) One silly reason I stopped sharing so many recipe posts was that I have had trouble capturing good photos of some of the meals and I don't have that photogenic food gene like some other bloggers do. Then I remembered, I created this blog originally to just share some good and fun ideas. So not taking myself to seriously means I will post this quick and easy recipe with limited pictures!

With BBQ season here, I am always look for good BBQ options that aren't hotdogs or steaks!
I made these burgers inspired to add in broccoli as it gives it a nice color and helps bind them together! Give it a try.

They are around 150 calories per burger- this recipe made about 10 patties.


  • 2 lb ground chicken
  • 1 egg
  • 1 med onion
  • 2 tbls garlic
  • 1/4 cup oatmeal
  • 1/8 cup breadcrumbs
  • 3 cups broccoli (finely chopped)
  • garlic powder


  • Cook the broccoli for a bit. Not to cooked stage, but just so its soft enough to make patties with
  • Mix together all of the ingredients
  • Roll into 10 balls and press into pattie shape. 
  • Cook on BBQ for 12 minutes a side or pan fry if you live in an apartment
